Weekly Report 9/24/14 to 9/30/14

ITEMS OF INTEREST:
There continues to be a large number of 9-1-1 hang-ups each week. If you call 9-1-1 by accident, please remain on the line instead of hanging up. The Sheriff’s Office would reminds all parents to teach children how and when to dial 9-1-1.

The Sheriff’s Office received and responded to 80 calls for service this week.

09/24/14:
Deputy Blaine Silk responded to a report of criminal threatening in Perry. Deputy Silk spoke to both parties and warned them against having further contact with each other.

A report of criminal mischief involving a missing mailbox in Baring was investigated by Deputy Ryan Murry. The investigation remains open.

09/25/2014:
Sgt. Brandon Parker investigated a complaint of phone harassment from an individual in Jonesport. Sgt. Parker spoke with other parties involved and warned them against having contact with each other.

09/26/14:
Deputy Blaine Silk investigated a report of phone harassment from an individual in Addison. Deputy Silk spoke with the other party involved and advised against further contact.

A report of a suicidal subject was investigated by Sgt. Brandon Parker. The subject, who lives in Steuben, was interviewed and removed for the night to a calmer surrounding.

09/27/14:
A complaint of possible gun shots at Grand Lake Stream was investigated by Deputy Ryan Murry. Deputy Murry inspected the area and found the noise to be fireworks.

Deputy Ryan Murry investigated a report of possible poaching in Princeton. Deputy Murry contacted the Warden Service.

A report of theft on Beals was investigated by Deputy Blaine Silk. Some gasoline appeared to have been stolen, but other items were intact.

09/28/2014:
A deer-car accident on the Ayers Junction Road in Meddybemps was investigated by Deputy Ryan Murry. None of the passengers of the car reported injuries.

09/29/14:
A report of disorderly conduct in Machias was investigated by Sgt. Ralph Pineo. Sgt. Pineo interviewed the parties involved. No further action was necessary.

A deer-car crash on Route 1 in East Machias was investigated by Sgt. Ralph Pineo. No injuries were reported.

Lt. Timothy Tabbutt responded to a single-vehicle accident on the Ridge Road in Cherryfield. No injuries were reported.

09/30/14:
Cpl. Christopher Donahue served a harassment order on Robb Hill Road in Alexander. All parties involved were warned against harassing each other.

An individual was arrested on the County Road in Trescott by Deputy Blaine Silk. Deputy Silk arrested the individual on an outstanding warrant.

Deputy Ryan Murry, assisted by Sgt. Ralph Pineo, Deputy Blaine Silk, Lt. Travis Willey, Cpl. Christopher Donahue, Sheriff Donnie Smith, and two ambulances from Downeast EMS, responded to a report of a suicidal subject in Trescott. The individual was transported to the hospital for injuries.

A report of theft from a home in Machiasport was investigated by Lt. Travis Willey. The missing items were found at a pawn shop and recovered. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Lt. Timothy Tabbutt responded to a report of criminal threatening in Columbia Falls. All parties were interviewed and warned against threatening each other.
