WEEKLY REPORT WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE 06/20/11 TO 06/26/11

ITEMS OF INTEREST:

06/20/11:

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a report of an accident at Johnson’s Mobil in Pembroke. Caller stated that she was backed into and the other vehicle continued driving. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a report of criminal mischief on the Smith Ridge Road in Cutler. Caller reported that a vehicle pulled near her residence and threw her private property signs into the roadway and onto the lawn. Caller gave plate number. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a report of a suicidal subject on the Station Road in Jonesboro. Subject was kept on the phone until units arrived. Subject was taken to Downeast Community Hospital.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a call of shots fired in Marshfield. Received a report from a caller that subject was drinking a beer across from his house and shooting a gun and it was ricocheting off a piece of metal and flying over his house. The weapon was secured and subject was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a call of shots fired in Cutler on the Bear Beach Ackley Road.

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a report of a residential burglary on the Straight Bay Road in Lubec. Caller advised that his trailer was broken into and the only thing he knew that was missing at this point was 7-8 DVDs. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a commercial alarm at Johnson’s Town Line Auto on Main Street in East Machias. Subject threw a rock through the window of the store and broke a cooler door also. A canine unit was dispatched to assist at the scene. Case is under investigation.

06/21/11:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a report of suspicious activity on the Route 1A Bridge in Milbridge. Caller stated that there was an adult male and a little boy leaning over the bridge and swearing at vehicles as they drove by. The subjects were gone on arrival of Deputy Perry.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a report of underage drinking in Addison. The subjects were gone on arrival.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a report from Elmer’s County Store of a gas drive off. Caller stated that he believes it was unintentional.


Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a caller who reported that his identity was stolen. Caller received a telephone bill from AT&T with about five different phone lines requiring him to pay about five hundred dollars. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to a report of stolen medication on the Lubec Road. Caller stated that her mother reported to her that she couldn’t find her pills which were a three month prescription. Caller’s mother also reported to her that when the oil delivery man came he noticed that her cellar door was broken open and he helped her to reinforce it. Caller came to Lubec to meet with Deputy Richard Rolfe. Case is under investigation.


6/22/11:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a report of criminal trespass on the Pea Ridge Road in Jonesboro.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint of criminal mischief on the East Side Road in Addison. Caller stated that he believed that someone tried to steal his vehicle. Caller stated that the key was broken off in the ignition. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a well being check on Route 1 in Milbridge. Subject was lying on the ground on the side of the road by the Fairpoint Building. Subject stated that he had a toothache. Sergeant Perry gave the subject a ride home.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a motor vehicle crash on the County Road in Lubec.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint of domestic dispute on the Landing Road in Addison. Caller stated that her daughter notified her through texting her boyfriend would not allow her to leave.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a residential alarm on Yoho Head in Machiasport.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a complaint of harassment on Main Street in Lubec. Caller stated that her neighbor was verbally harassing her. Caller reported that it had not gotten physical but that the neighbor was calling to her from across the street.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to a well being check on the Indian River Road on Addison.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to a car/deer accident in Jonesport. Caller advised that deer was killed in the accident and he was not injured.

6/23/11:

Deputy Lt. Travis Willey did a bail check on the Palmers Landing Road in East Machias.

Deputy Lt. Travis Willey did a bail check on the Lead Mine Road in Lubec.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a missing persons report from the East Side Road in Addison. Caller stated that her son was missing for a few hours and she has been driving around trying to find him but was unable to find him.

Deputy Ralph Pineo did a well being check in Cutler Harbor.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt gave an agency assist to the Belfast PD on Washington Street in Milbridge. A caller to the Belfast PD stated that she had found a purse in the middle of the road in Ellsworth and wanted an officer to come a pick it up from her.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a residential alarm at Yoho Road in Machiasport.

6/24/11:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a motor vehicle crash in Harrington on the Marshville Road.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry gave a civil assist on Main Street in Cherryfield. Caller had an agreement with a tenant to buy a sofa and it was never paid for. Sergeant Perry determined this to be a civil matter.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Knock on Wood with a complaint of theft. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint on Main Street in Cherryfield that juveniles were shooting BB guns and caller stated that the BBs were hitting his windows. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a report of a motor vehicle driving erratically in Harrington. Caller stated that vehicle approached him from behind him at a high rate of speed. Caller stated that he sped up to eighty miles per hour. Caller also stated that when he went to turn off on the Dorman Road, subject almost rear ended him. Caller knew who the subject was and told officer where to find him. Case is under investigation.

6/25/11:

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a call in Cherryfield. Caller stated that a female had been involved in a road race during Cherryfield Days.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Main Street in Cherryfield. Caller stated that a female subject pulled into her driveway and asked her to call the police as she was in an argument with her boyfriend. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a residential alarm in Machiasport.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a domestic dispute in Perry. Caller stated that her daughter was involved in a domestic dispute and reported that her daughter’s boyfriend had “punched her out.”
Subject had left the residence and caller’s daughter refused an ambulance.

Deputy Ryan Allen and Deputy and Sergeant Richard Rolfe did a bail check on a subject in Perry.

6/26/11:

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a complaint of suspicious activity on Tenan Lane in Cherryfield. Caller could hear someone pounding on her wall. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Keith York received a complaint from a caller who is on bail. Caller stated that another person who is on bail may have violated their bail by coming around her.

Deputy Ryan Allen gave a civil assist to a caller from the South Lubec Road in Lubec. The assist was in reference to a property dispute.

Deputy Keith York took a complaint from a caller from Main Street in Jonesport. Caller states that kids are hanging out in front of the library. There have been issues of vandalism in the area lately.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a complaint of harassment form a caller who says that caller’s ex husband is threatening her boyfriend.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a complaint of harassment for Route 1 in Whiting. Caller stated that he son is harassing her via phone from Massachusetts

06/13/11:

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a report of suspicious activity on the Coffin’s Neck Road in Lubec. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen and Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to a domestic dispute on South Main Street in Whitneyville. Subject was transported to the Washington County Jail. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a commercial alarm on US Route 1 in Perry.

Deputy Ralph Pineo received a complaint of a missing juvenile in Machiasport. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a complaint of theft of a couple of propane tanks from caller’s summer camp on Ripley Point in Harrington. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a complaint of a domestic dispute between a father and daughter. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ralph Pineo covered a theft complaint on the Port Road in Machiasport. Case is under investigation.

6/14/11:

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe covered a complaint of criminal threatening in East Machias. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a compliant of harassment in Steuben. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt served a Order for Protection on Route 1A in Harrington.

Deputy John Peterson covered a complaint of theft at the Princeton Foodmart. A shoplifter was caught on camera. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen covered a motor vehicle accident on Route 192 Marshfield.

Sheriff Smith had a speaking engagement at the University of Maine in Machias.


6/15/11:

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a commercial alarm in Whitneyville.

Deputy Keith York responded to a report of criminal mischief on Main Street in Meddybemps.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York responded to a motor vehicle crash in Lubec on the South Lubec Road.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a motor vehicle crash on Main Street in Princeton.

Deputy Keith York responded to a call from Onstar who patched a caller who reported a car/deer accident on the Ridge Road and 192 intersection in Marshfield.

Deputy Lt. Travis Willey covered a report of a gas drive off at ABS Country Store in Columbia Falls. Case is under investigation.

6/16/11:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a well being check. Orono State Police passed down the information that a caller was extremely intoxicated and making statements about his wife dying sometime ago.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry gave a civil assist to a caller from Columbia Falls. Caller stated that she had a protection order on a subject and he has been on the premises today. Dispatch was unable to find any active protection order.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry received a report that two subjects who were on bail conditions were drinking. After doing a bail check Sgt. Perry transported one subject to the Washington County Jail.

Deputy Ryan Allen received drug related information from a caller located in Calais. Information was passed on the Calais Police Department. State Police were in the area and took the report for investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe, Deputy Ralph Pineo and Deputy John Peterson attended a K-9
training.

Deputy Ryan Allen received a report of suspicious activity on the Straight Bay Road in Lubec. Caller advised that he had interrupted someone attempting to break into his residence at 4 am. No entry was made and case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a motor vehicle crash in Edmunds. An Irving Oil transport driver reported the accident. Caller stated car was off the road and nobody was around.

Deputy Brandon Parker assisted Machias PD with a suicidal subject who lives on the Marshfield Flats Road.


06/17/11:


Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry gave a civil assist to a caller on Feeney Street in Jonesport.

Deputy Brandon Parker did a well being check on the North Lubec road in Lubec.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry assisted the Maine Forestry Service who were executing a search warrant in South Addison.

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a report of suspicious activity. The caller stated that a bunch of cars were turning in his driveway on the East Shore Road in Whiting. Caller also stated that fireworks were going off and he thought there was probably a party near his residence.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a juvenile complaint on the Mill Pond Road in Beals. Caller stated that the juvenile was drunk and vomiting all over himself. Caller also stated they did not need an ambulance but that he needed help.

06/18/11:

Deputy John Peterson did a well being check on a subject from Princeton. Caller stated that a subject had been leaving harassing messages and texting nasty pictures to him. Caller stated that subject was extremely intoxicated and he was concerned for the safety of her four children.

Deputy Travis Willey responded to a report of harassment in Cherryfield . Case is under investigation.

Deputy Brandon Parker gave a civil assist to a caller from Robbinston who stated that his neighbor had taken the key from his four wheeler and tossed it into the woods. Caller stated that subject does not want people to go up and down the road. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a caller who stated that a subject was driving OUI from Machais to Lubec.

6/19/11:

Deputy Ryan Allen, Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe, Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a apparent suicide on Main Street in Lubec. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen, Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a report of disorderly conduct on Old Route One in Jonesboro.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to a caller who stated that a dog had been hit and then the dog took off. The dog did not appear to be hurt and no damage was done to the vehicle.

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a report of a residential burglary in Big Lake Township. Caller stated that the theft was a bottle of Southern Comfort, Coffee Brandy and chips. Case is under investigation.

Deputy John Peterson responded to a report of suspicious activity on the North Lubec Road in Lubec. Caller stated that a male subject was seen Friday afternoon by the callers girlfriend talking with the callers two young children. Caller stated that the subject has had issues with most everybody who lives on the road and he is concerned for his children’s safety.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a call of a female subject from Cherryfield was driving while under suspension.

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a car/deer accident in Baring.

Deputy Keith York responded to a property damage crash on the Indian River Road in Addison. Caller reported a U-Haul truck had rolled over in front of the caller’s residence.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a motor vehicle complaint there was a report of a logging truck dragging a pole on the ground.

Deputy Ryan Allen provided an agency assist in Cutler for the Jonesport Coast Guard who was looking for a boat that had been reported late.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a commercial alarm at Whitney Wreath in Whitneyville.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a complaint of harassment in Jonesboro. Caller stated she is receiving obscene phone calls from unknown subject. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to a complaint of theft in Lubec. Caller stated a picnic table was taken. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Keith York and Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a domestic dispute on the Sunset Point Road in Harrington. Caller stated her boyfriend was trying to make her and her daughter leave the residence. The male subject was arrested on a warrant.

Deputy Keith York responded to a complaint of harassment on Main Street in Harrington. Caller stated she and her children are being harassed by a neighbor who has right of way across her property. Case is a civil dispute.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt, Deputy Ralph Pineo, Chief Deputy Michael St. Louis responded to a 911 call that an elderly male subject with Alzheimer’s had a gun and was threatening to kill himself and a neighbor. Subject was transported to the Downeast Community Hospital.

6/9/11:

Deputy Keith York provided a civil assist to a caller in Perry concerning a horse. Case is civil.

Deputy Keith York responded to a property damage crash on Us-Rt#1 in East Machias.

Deputy Keith York received information about a driver driving while suspended in Steuben. Information was passed on to other patrol units.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a single vehicle crash in Pembroke on West Street.

Deputy Keith York received a complaint of a subject walking down the road under the influence in Steuben.

Deputy Keith York received a loud noise complaint on Washington Street in Milbridge.

Deputy Keith York provided a civil assist in Addison to a landlord/tenant situation. Case is a civil dispute.

6/10/11:

Deputy Keith York received a complaint from a caller in Steuben. Caller stated cars were speeding on the Rodgers Point Road. Caller advised there are signs posting the speed limit. Information passed off to patrol units.

Deputy Keith York received a complaint of a driver going all over the road on the way to Machias. Caller stated the driver almost caused two crashes. Unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a complaint of harassment from a caller in Cherryfield. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a complaint of a subject walking down the road while intoxicated. The subject was in Steuben and also had bail conditions. Case is under investigation.

06/11/2011:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a noise complaint at the campground in Jonesport. Caller stated subjects were driving around the campground yelling at everybody to “get up”. Vehicle GOA, case is under investigation.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a complaint of harassment in Lubec. Caller stated his girlfriend was chased down and the subject was yelling threatening things to her. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint from a caller from Arundal Maine. Caller reported that she had received a call from someone stating that there had been a break-in at her property. Her property is located in Steuben. Case in under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a complaint of a motor vehicle crash on Route 1 in Milbridge. Caller stated his tractor trailer had come unhooked somewhere between Harrington and Milbridge near the Pines Restaurant. Caller reported there was fish all over the road but no one was injured and there wasn’t damage.

6/12/11:

Deputy John Peterson arrested a subject from Princeton on a warrant. Subject was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a residential alarm on the Dixie Road in Lubec.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a car/deer crash on Route 1 in Harrington.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry assisted Machias Ambulance on Route 1 in East Machias. Caller was a female who was alone in her vehicle and having chest pain. Deputy Perry assisted her until the ambulance arrived on scene.
