Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe received a report of a motor vehicle tailgating and driving at speeds in excess of 65 mph in the Town Of Whitneyville. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York responded to a residential alarm in Perry.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe received a complaint of harassment via Facebook in the Town of Jonesboro.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint of theft in Columbia. Case is closed.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry handled a compliant of a juvenile being harassed at school.

Deputy Keith York handled a compliant of a residential burglary in Whiting. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen received a compliant of a commercial alarm in Danforth. After investigation it was found that it was a false alarm.

Deputy Ralph Pineo took a report from Addison of a theft of two power saws and five vehicle rims. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ralph Pineo received a complaint from the Steuben area of a theft of three vehicles. Case is under investigation.

Lt. Travis Willey conducted a bail check in Lubec. Subject was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

05/09/11

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a complaint from a residence in Steuben a mailbox had been damaged. This was the second time in the last month. His mailbox is in a line of them but his was the only one smashed this time. Caller believes this was done on Saturday.

Deputy John Peterson responded to a residence in Robbinston for a reported residential burglary. Case is being investigated.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a property damage crash on the Marshfield Road in Harrington.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to the Addison Road in Columbia for a complainant who stated he was being “stalked”. Case is under investigation.

Lieutenant Travis Willey and Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe provided an agency assist on Mill Street in Calais.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt and Deputy Ralph Pineo had a speaking engagement at the Harrington Health Center in Harrington.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to a report of a possible residential burglary in North Lubec on the North Lubec Road. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Ryan Allen investigated a complaint about a possible residential break on Summer Street in Lubec. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Keith York conducted a well being check on Route 191. A referral was made to adult protective services.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York assist the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency with a search warrant in East Machias.

5/10/11

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry took a complaint on the East Side Road in Addison of someone smoking pot. Case is being investigated.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry arrested a subject who had a warrant for his arrest out of Machias District Court.

Deputy Ryan Allen received a complaint from the Hadley Lake Road of suspicious activity. A subject drove a pick-up truck behind their residence and got out and went into the woods. Deputy Allen investigated with no charges.

05/11/11

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded a complaint of harassment on the East Side Road
in Addison. A subject left a threatening letter on a vehicle. Case in being investigated by Sergeant Perry.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry took a complaint of a suspicious call. Complainant reported they had received a call from someone who claimed to be affiliated with a payout center. Caller wanted to know when complainant would be home to have someone deliver sweepstakes pay out. The caller was from California. During the investigation Deputy Sergeant Perry determine the call was a scam. Case is open and under investigation.

Deputy John Peterson responded to a report of a school bus which was passed by a vehicle when the bus had it red lights on in Princeton. Case is being investigated.

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a report of a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in East Machias on the Scotts Hill Road. Deputy Pineo was unable to locate the vehicle

Deputy Keith York assisted the Maine State Police with a report of a subject who had an active protection order. It was reported the subject was headed to the VFW in Harrington to start a fight with the other party in the order.

Deputy John Peterson responded to a domestic dispute in on Summit Street in Baileyville. Case is under investigation.

Deputy John Peterson received a report of vehicles speeding all the time on the South Princeton road. Deputy Peterson passed information of to other patrol units.

Deputy Keith York responded to a noise complaint from the Thomas Kelly Apartments in Jonesport. Deputy York advised the subjects of disorderly conduct law.

Weekly Report 05/02/11 TO 05/08/11

05/02/11:

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a single vehicle car deer property damage crash on Us-Rt#1A in Milbridge.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Ridge Road in Cherryfield to assist Bangor Hydro. Bangor Hydro Electric Company called reporting they need the Sheriff's Office to assist them with a customer who has been giving them death threats for no reason. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt made contact and no further action.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to Airline Road in Wesley for a harassment complaint. Subject calling reporting their child is receiving phone calls with messages left on the answering machine stating they would do harm to them. The Child is 16 years old and doesn't know what to do. Deputy Sergeant Rolfe is currently investigating the complaint.

Deputy Keith York responded to a domestic dispute on the Cutler Road in East Machias. Caller reporting an argument between a male and female with no assault yet. Deputy York responded and subjects agreed to separate for evening.

05/03/11:

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to a later report of a two vehicle property damage motor vehicle crash on Us-Rt#1 in East Machias.

Deputy Keith York responded to a threatening complaint on Main Street in Cherryfield. Caller reporting two brothers arguing over Elever Fishing and who owned the river. Deputy York responded and no charges.

Deputy Keith York responded to Ridge Road in Cherryfield for a report of suspicious activity. Caller reporting can hear banging coming from a residence next door. Looked and saw someone with flashlight then a subject run from the area. Deputy York arrived and located a door open and is currently investigating the complaint.

05/04/11:

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the US Marshals Service and Machias Police Department arrested a male subject at the Machias Medical Associates building in Machias.

Deputy Keith York responded to East Side Road in Addison for a criminal mischief complaint. Caller reporting someone took a baseball bat and smashed the mail box. Deputy York continues to investigated the call.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to Us-Rt#1 in Whiting for a theft complaint. Caller reporting he was missing gun parts from a residential fire at his place in Whiting a few weeks back. Deputy Allen continues to investigate the case.

Deputy Kieth York responded to a single vehicle car deer crash on Sprague Falls Road in Steuben.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe received a harassment complaint from Ridge Road in Machiasport. The caller reporting being harassed and threaten by a collection company. Deputy Rolfe investigates with no charges.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to Provost Point in PLT14 for criminal mischief. Caller reporting a cleaning service vandalized a camp and burned her personal belongings on the lawn. Deputy Sergeant Rolfe continues the investigation.

Deputy Keith York responded to RP Boat Shop in Steuben for a found property call. Caller reporting just located a dirt bike in a trailer owned by them and has no idea who owns it. Deputy York is investigating the complaint.

Deputy Keith York received a civil complaint between a renter and tenant in Steuben. Parties disputing over a electric bill increase. No charges

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to a civil dispute at Bud Rose Trailer Park in Princeton. The dispute is between two parties and ownership of a chainsaw. No charges.


05/05/11:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Indian River Road in Addison for a bail check. Female was arrested on violation of conditions of release.

Deputy Keith York responded to Main Street in Harrington to assist the Maine State Police with a domestic assault. Investigation is a Maine State Police case.

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to Uncle Kippy's in Lubec for an open door. The owner was notify to have the door fixed it could not be secured. It appeared no entry was made.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey arrested a male subject at the Sheriff's Office who was wanted on a Machias District Court Warrant. Subject booked at Washington County Jail for bail.



05/06/11

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a call from East Machias, caller stating his wife was driving around in a car with no insurance. Caller gave plate number. Case is under investigation
.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to a call from Cherryfield Foods. Caller stated holes had been drill in the fuel tank of a tractor. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint of a male subject was standing on the Upper Corner Bridge and there was a warrant for his arrest.

Sheriff Smith went to Bay Ridge School to do a speaking engagement.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a complaint at the Estates Road on Cherryfield. Compliant stated a theft occurred of medication. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt assist Hancock County Sheriff's Office in locating a female runaway.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt and Deputy Brandon Parker investigated an anonymous complaint of an underage drinking party in Steuben. Subject was arrested.


5/7/11

Deputy Lt. Travis Willey made a vehicle stop on the Pea Ridge Road in Columbia. Subject was arrested for operating under the influence.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a property damage single vehicle crash scene in Pembroke. Report was taken.

5/8/11

Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to a call of a yellow Mustang going seventy plus miles per hour on Route 1. Caller stated there was a child in back with no seatbelt on. Depty Pineo could not make contact with the vehicle.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded a complaint in Milbridge. Caller stated a red truck had hit a lightpole at the Bayside Market and driver fled the scene. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Tim Tabbutt responded to a report of a runaway on the Basin Road in Addison.

Deputy Ryan Allen responded to East Machias for a call of an ATV driving in an erratic manner. It was reported the ATV was driving down the middle of the road on Old Route 1.

Weekly Report 04/25/11 TO 05/01/11

04/25/11:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Columbia over a theft of a purse. Female caller reporting she was with a friend a couple weeks ago when the friend was arrested. When the friend was arrested the vehicle was impounded and her purse was left in the vehicle. The Friend has gotten out of jail and is refusing to give the purse back. Deputy Sergeant Perry continues to investigate.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Harbor Road in Steuben for a burglary. Caller reporting someone burglarized there camp, ate popcorn move things around and didn't know if anything was stolen. Deputy Sergeant Perry continues to investigate.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey received a report from Mill Street in Princeton of a theft. Caller reporting a theft over the internet from E-bay. Lieutenant Willey is investigating the complaint.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Rodgers Point Road in Steuben for a report of criminal mischief. Caller reporting there mailbox had been vandalized over the last week. Deputy Sergeant Perry continues to investigate the rash of criminal mischief to mailbox's in Steuben area.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey, Deputy Brandon Parker and the Maine Warden Service provided ATV enforcement on the Sunrise Trail System from Edmunds to Jonesboro in a joint operation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Cross Road in Columbia Falls for a civil dispute. The Civil dispute is over and eviction of a tenant. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt is investigating with no charges.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a call regarding information on the location of a male subject in Cherryfield wanted on a Bench Warrant. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt continues to look for the subject.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a call from Ridge Road in Cherryfield of an Animal Control complaint. Caller reporting there are two mean dogs not letting them enter into their residence. Complaint passed on to Cherryfield Animal Control.

Deputy John Peterson assisted Maine State Trooper Andrew Foss at Bartlett Lane in Danforth with a domestic assault. Subject was arrested by Trooper Foss.

Deputy John Peterson responded to the Princeton Elementary School for an alarm. Deputy Peterson found the building all secure.



04/26/11:

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Rogers Point Road in Steuben for a lound noise complaint. Caller reporting the neighbors music was loud. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt informed neighbor to turn down the music.

Deputy Ralph Pineo received information from Kelley Point Road in Jonesport of drug related activity. The information in being investigated by deputy Pineo.

Deputy John Peterson responded to Us-Rt#1 in Robbinston for a burglary. Caller reporting a window screen had been removed and a window broken out of there residence. The caller did not know if anything had been taken. The case in open and under investigation by Deputy Peterson.

04/27/11:

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Delia's Store in Columbia for a theft. The store is reporting a theft of a rental movie. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt is currently investigating the incident.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Schoodic Pond in Columbia for a theft. Caller reporting a boat had been taken from their camp. Sergeant Tabbutt is currently investigating the incident.

Deputy John Peterson received a call from a subject in Lubec reporting a erratic operation of a vehicle by a male driver. The Drive has not been stopping at stop signs, intersection or crossing. Deputy Peterson is investigating the complaint.

Sheriff Donald Smith, Deputies Keith York, Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and the Downeast EMS Ambulance responded to County Road in Lubec for a home invasion. (Press Release)

Deputies Ryan Allen and Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to Port Road in the Starboard area of Machiasport for a possible domestic. The Domestic turned out to be a civil assist. Caller reporting she rents a residence to her son and his girlfriend. The son and girlfriend had a falling out over a new boyfriend the girlfriend has and the caller would like her removed. Case in still under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York responded with the pleasant Point Police Department to a property damage crash on the Little Falls Road in Pembroke. The driver was arrested for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to Hadley Lake Road in East Machias to a disorderly conduct complaint. Caller reporting a lot of yelling screaming and 'foul language' coming from around the apartment complex area.

Deputy Ryan Allen received a ATV complaint on Mill Street in Princeton. Caller advised ATV's are racing up and down the road. Deputy Allen patrolled the area.





4/28/11

Deputy Keith York responded to Leighton Point Road in Pembroke to a complaint of a couple breaking into a camp and living there. Caller stated that she went down to check on property and kicked them out. They are expected to return. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York received a complaint from Gardner’s Lake, Kennedy Subdivision a residence had been stripped of copper piping and a water pump something over the past two months. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Keith York received a complaint on the Ridge Road in Pembroke a person was trespassing on his grandfather’s property and has been told in the past to stay off the property. A report was taken and case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint of an abandoned vehicle in Columbia Falls. Sergeant Perry had the vehicle towed.

Deputy Brandon Parker is investigating an accident reported on Route 1 in Whiting.


4/29/11:

Deputy Keith York responded to Intervale Lane in Columbia Falls for a residential alarm. The build was all secure.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York responded to Us-Rt#191 in Meddybemps for a threatening complaint. Caller reported a subject tried to run him off the road. Deputy Sergeant Rolfe located the suspect vehicle and arrested the male operator for terrorizing the complainant.

Deputy Keith York received a call from Watchdog Security of residential alarm on Wilderness Shore Road in Steuben. Building all secure.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey and Deputy Brandon Parker responded to the Thomas Kelley Apartments in Jonesport for an under age drinking party. A anonymous caller reported there was a gathering of eight to ten underage kids drinking alcohol in the Rec Room of the Apartment Complex. Deputy Lieutenant Willey and Deputy Parker arrived and arrested one adult female for providing the alcohol to the subjects.

Six Deputy Sheriff's and the Maine Forest Service responded to Parker Hill Road Gravel Pit in Cherryfield for a underage drinking party. Deputies and the Forest Service charged individuals with crimes and towed vehicle with no owners. The Property is privately owned and the owner does not want anyone in the Gravel Pit.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey received information from East Main Street in Harrington of underage drinking going on at a residence. This case is still under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a violation of a protection order on Main Street in Harrington. Caller reporting they have a active protection order out on a subject and they calling them. Case open under investigation.

Sheriff Donald Smith and Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe participated in the DEA Drug Take Back Program in Machias.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Dixie Road in Lubec for a burglary complaint. Caller reporting they own a vacant residence in Lubec and some items have been stolen. Deputy Parker is investigating the complaint.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt and Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to the VFW in Harrington to remove a subject. The VFW called reporting two male subjects had gotten into a fight and one of the males has left. The caller reported the other male subject is very intoxicated and will not leave the VFW. Deputies arrived and subjects left with no report of assault.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Port Road in Machiasport for a wire down. Caller reporting there is a wire hanging in the road coming from a residence. Deputy Parker responded and the wire was clearly marked with a ribbon. Utility Company was notified.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Big Ridge Road in Addison for a report of a drunk driver. Caller reporting a male subject who he knows is in his driveway under the influence of intoxicating liquor and will be driving off soon. Deputy Sergeant Perry did not locate the vehicle.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry and Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Rim Road in Machiasport for a car deer crash. The owner of the vehicle involved in the crash took the deer.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Marion Station Road in Marion for a check well being complaint. The caller reported had not heard from a friend in three days and can not make contact by phone. Caller reported phone would just ring and ring. Caller reported it was unlike the subject. Deputy Parker located the subejct who was all set.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Tibbetts Town Road in Columbia Falls for a ATV complaint. Caller reporting ATV's riding up and down the Tibbetts Town Road side by side all day. Deputy Sergeant Perry located the subjects and the case is under investigation.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Ayers Junction Road in Charlotte. Caller reporting a vehicle is down a dead end road and should have no reason to be there. The caller concerned the vehicle might be up to illegal activity. Deputy Parker located the vehicle and no charges.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Smithville Road in Steuben for a two vehicle property damage crash. Subject backed out of driveway into traffic causing crash.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Dixie Road in Lubec for a burglary. Caller reporting they own a residence on the Dixie Road and a neighbor just watched two subjects break in and steal a TV and other stuff. Deputies responded and arrested the subjects.
