Weekly Report 7/1/14 to 7/7/14

07/01/2014:
Deputy Blaine Silk responded to a report of harassment in Pembroke. The individual was warned to keep away from the complainant. Deputy Silk gave the complainant information regarding Protection from Harassment orders. No further action was taken.

Responding to a call regarding suspicious activity on the County Road in Perry, Deputy Blaine Silk found the individual and investigated the scene. No criminal activity was found to be taking place, and Deputy Silk cleared the scene.

07/02/2014:
Deputies Timothy Carter and Blaine Silk responded to a call regarding a potentially intoxicated driver at the custom’s station in Lubec. Deputies Carter and Silk arrived on the scene and performed field sobriety tests on the individual, who was then taken to Machias for a breath alcohol test. The individual passed the test and was released.

07/03/2014:
Deputy Blaine Silk responded to a report of a driver leaving the scene of an accident on the Rim Road in Machiasport. The complainant, who was not injured and whose car had minor damage, was unable to identify the driver who left the scene.

A complaint of lost property was investigated by Deputy Blaine Silk. The property was found on US Route 1 in Whiting and was taken into evidence.

Deputy Timothy Carter arrested an East Machias resident on a warrant from the Ellsworth District Court.

Deputy Timothy Carter investigated a complaint of lost property on Ridge Road in Pembroke. Investigation is ongoing.

07/04/2014:
A complaint of domestic dispute was investigated by Deputy Blaine Silk on the Birch Ridge Road in Marshfield. An individual was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.

Deputy Blaine Silk investigated a report of assault on Main Street in East Machias. When he arrived, the assailant had left the scene. While Deputy Silk was interviewing the victim, the assailant passed the scene in a car. Deputy Silk pursued the assailant through Machias and into Whitneyville, where he was taken into custody.

Deputy Timothy Carter responded to a report of theft on Old US Route 1 in Jonesboro. Investigation is ongoing.

A single-vehicle personal injury accident on North Lubec Road in Lubec was investigated by Deputy Timothy Carter. The individual was taken to the hospital, where a blood alcohol test was administered.

Deputies Timothy Carter and Blaine Silk responded to a report of domestic violence assault on Maple Tree Road in Lubec. Cpl. Gregory Sawyer assisted with the investigation. Deputies Carter and Silk interviewed the two individuals involved in the incident, assisted by Cpl. Sawyer. One of the individuals was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Deputy Blaine Silk stopped an individual under suspicion of operating under the influence on the Maple Tree Road in Lubec. The individual failed a field sobriety test, but resisted being taken into custody. Deputy Silk, assisted by Cpl. Gregory Sawyer, took the individual into custody and transported him to the Washington County Jail for a breath alcohol test.

07/05/14:
A report of theft on the Northfield Road in Marshfield was investigated by Deputy Timothy Carter. The investigation is ongoing.

07/06/14:
Cpl. Christopher Donahue investigated a report of burglary on Front Street in Baring. No items appeared to have been taken from the home.

Sgt. Ralph Pineo responded to a report of theft at the cemetery in Dennysville. Investigation is ongoing.

A report of theft on South Road in Topsfield was investigated by Cpl. Christopher Donahue. Investigation is ongoing.

07/07/14:
Sgt. Ralph Pineo responded to a report of theft on the Cemetery Road in Dennysville. Investigation is ongoing.

A report of a vandalized mailbox on the Chet’s Camp Road in Grand Lake Stream was investigated by Cpl. Christopher Donahue.

Deputy Blaine Silk responded to a report of a violation of protection order on Johnson Street in Lubec. The individual was summonsed with assistance from the Gouldsboro Police Department.
