WEEKLY REPORT May 9, 2014 to May 15, 2014

During this time the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 100 calls for service. There were 50 false emergency 911 hang-ups and security alarms received during this period. The following notable complaints were received:

Lieutenant Timothy Tabbutt arrested a male from Columbia Falls on two active warrants issued from Hancock County.

A report of a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Cherryfield was received by Lt. Timothy Tabbutt. As a result of the investigation, two male subjects were arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail. One male was charged with Operating Under the Influence and the other male was charged with a Violation of Conditional Release.

Sergeant Brandon Parker responded to an attempted burglary to a residence in Harrington. It was reported that a porch door had been damaged, but no entry was made. Investigation continues into this complaint.

Deputy Dennis Worcester conducted bail compliance check on a male residing in the Jonesport area. A urine screen was conducted which tested positive for prohibited substance. The male subject was arrested for Violating Condition of Release and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Lieutenant Timothy Tabbutt located and arrested a female in the Columbia Falls on a warrant for Failure to Appear. The female subject was transported to the Washington County Jail.

A complaint in Alexander of an alleged assault was received by Corporal Christopher Donahue. The altercation involved a father and adult daughter. As a result of this investigation the male was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was charged with Domestic Violence Assault.

While investigating a complaint in Danforth of missing tires, Deputy Steven Ramsey ascertained that the complainant had an active warrant of arrest. Deputy Ramsey arrested the male subject and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

Sergeant Brandon Parker responded to a complaint in Cherryfield where it was reported by a homeowner that a shed had been entered and there was evidence that a fire had been started inside the shed. An investigation into this matter continues.

Lieutenant Timothy Tabbutt responded to a motorcycle accident in Day Block Township. The male operator lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency medical services were dispatched and the victim was transported by Life Flight to Eastern Maine Medical Center. No further information is available at this time.
