2 Subjects Arrested on East Side Road in Addison

On February 20, 2013, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 2 subjects on the East Side Road in Addison. As a result Heroin, Marijuana and cash were also seized.

Deputies went to the Mark Stoddard residence on the East Side road to conduct a probation check on Mr. Stoddard after receiving several public complaints about drug activity. Upon arriving at the residence deputies discovered two other male subjects present at the residence. The two male subjects were identified as Clayton May, 41, of Addison and Byron Carver, 33, of Jonesport.

Further investigation found that Mr. Carver was in possession of heroin and he was taken into custody. Deputies also found several dosage units or “bags” of heroin packaged ready for sale. Mr. May was then taken into custody for Trafficking of Heroin. Mr. Stoddard was found not to be directly involved with the drug operation at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.

As a result of this investigation Deputies seized approximately $11,000 in Heroin, a small amount of Marijuana and approximately $400 in cash. The Washington County Sheriff's Office K-9 Stryker was utilized in locating the Heroin and Marijuana. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency assisted at the scene. Both subjects were taken to the Washington County Jail where bail was set on both subjects. Mr. Carver was bailed from the jail after posting $1000 cash. Substance conditions, contact conditions, as well as standard conditions were also set as bail. Mr. May had bail set at $25,000. However, he remains at the Washington County Jail at this time.
