Weekly Report 04/25/11 TO 05/01/11

04/25/11:

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Columbia over a theft of a purse. Female caller reporting she was with a friend a couple weeks ago when the friend was arrested. When the friend was arrested the vehicle was impounded and her purse was left in the vehicle. The Friend has gotten out of jail and is refusing to give the purse back. Deputy Sergeant Perry continues to investigate.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Harbor Road in Steuben for a burglary. Caller reporting someone burglarized there camp, ate popcorn move things around and didn't know if anything was stolen. Deputy Sergeant Perry continues to investigate.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey received a report from Mill Street in Princeton of a theft. Caller reporting a theft over the internet from E-bay. Lieutenant Willey is investigating the complaint.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Rodgers Point Road in Steuben for a report of criminal mischief. Caller reporting there mailbox had been vandalized over the last week. Deputy Sergeant Perry continues to investigate the rash of criminal mischief to mailbox's in Steuben area.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey, Deputy Brandon Parker and the Maine Warden Service provided ATV enforcement on the Sunrise Trail System from Edmunds to Jonesboro in a joint operation.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Cross Road in Columbia Falls for a civil dispute. The Civil dispute is over and eviction of a tenant. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt is investigating with no charges.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a call regarding information on the location of a male subject in Cherryfield wanted on a Bench Warrant. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt continues to look for the subject.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt received a call from Ridge Road in Cherryfield of an Animal Control complaint. Caller reporting there are two mean dogs not letting them enter into their residence. Complaint passed on to Cherryfield Animal Control.

Deputy John Peterson assisted Maine State Trooper Andrew Foss at Bartlett Lane in Danforth with a domestic assault. Subject was arrested by Trooper Foss.

Deputy John Peterson responded to the Princeton Elementary School for an alarm. Deputy Peterson found the building all secure.



04/26/11:

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Rogers Point Road in Steuben for a lound noise complaint. Caller reporting the neighbors music was loud. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt informed neighbor to turn down the music.

Deputy Ralph Pineo received information from Kelley Point Road in Jonesport of drug related activity. The information in being investigated by deputy Pineo.

Deputy John Peterson responded to Us-Rt#1 in Robbinston for a burglary. Caller reporting a window screen had been removed and a window broken out of there residence. The caller did not know if anything had been taken. The case in open and under investigation by Deputy Peterson.

04/27/11:

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Delia's Store in Columbia for a theft. The store is reporting a theft of a rental movie. Deputy Sergeant Tabbutt is currently investigating the incident.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt responded to Schoodic Pond in Columbia for a theft. Caller reporting a boat had been taken from their camp. Sergeant Tabbutt is currently investigating the incident.

Deputy John Peterson received a call from a subject in Lubec reporting a erratic operation of a vehicle by a male driver. The Drive has not been stopping at stop signs, intersection or crossing. Deputy Peterson is investigating the complaint.

Sheriff Donald Smith, Deputies Keith York, Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and the Downeast EMS Ambulance responded to County Road in Lubec for a home invasion. (Press Release)

Deputies Ryan Allen and Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to Port Road in the Starboard area of Machiasport for a possible domestic. The Domestic turned out to be a civil assist. Caller reporting she rents a residence to her son and his girlfriend. The son and girlfriend had a falling out over a new boyfriend the girlfriend has and the caller would like her removed. Case in still under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York responded with the pleasant Point Police Department to a property damage crash on the Little Falls Road in Pembroke. The driver was arrested for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe responded to Hadley Lake Road in East Machias to a disorderly conduct complaint. Caller reporting a lot of yelling screaming and 'foul language' coming from around the apartment complex area.

Deputy Ryan Allen received a ATV complaint on Mill Street in Princeton. Caller advised ATV's are racing up and down the road. Deputy Allen patrolled the area.





4/28/11

Deputy Keith York responded to Leighton Point Road in Pembroke to a complaint of a couple breaking into a camp and living there. Caller stated that she went down to check on property and kicked them out. They are expected to return. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York received a complaint from Gardner’s Lake, Kennedy Subdivision a residence had been stripped of copper piping and a water pump something over the past two months. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Keith York received a complaint on the Ridge Road in Pembroke a person was trespassing on his grandfather’s property and has been told in the past to stay off the property. A report was taken and case is under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a complaint of an abandoned vehicle in Columbia Falls. Sergeant Perry had the vehicle towed.

Deputy Brandon Parker is investigating an accident reported on Route 1 in Whiting.


4/29/11:

Deputy Keith York responded to Intervale Lane in Columbia Falls for a residential alarm. The build was all secure.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Keith York responded to Us-Rt#191 in Meddybemps for a threatening complaint. Caller reported a subject tried to run him off the road. Deputy Sergeant Rolfe located the suspect vehicle and arrested the male operator for terrorizing the complainant.

Deputy Keith York received a call from Watchdog Security of residential alarm on Wilderness Shore Road in Steuben. Building all secure.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey and Deputy Brandon Parker responded to the Thomas Kelley Apartments in Jonesport for an under age drinking party. A anonymous caller reported there was a gathering of eight to ten underage kids drinking alcohol in the Rec Room of the Apartment Complex. Deputy Lieutenant Willey and Deputy Parker arrived and arrested one adult female for providing the alcohol to the subjects.

Six Deputy Sheriff's and the Maine Forest Service responded to Parker Hill Road Gravel Pit in Cherryfield for a underage drinking party. Deputies and the Forest Service charged individuals with crimes and towed vehicle with no owners. The Property is privately owned and the owner does not want anyone in the Gravel Pit.

Deputy Lieutenant Travis Willey received information from East Main Street in Harrington of underage drinking going on at a residence. This case is still under investigation.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to a violation of a protection order on Main Street in Harrington. Caller reporting they have a active protection order out on a subject and they calling them. Case open under investigation.

Sheriff Donald Smith and Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe participated in the DEA Drug Take Back Program in Machias.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Dixie Road in Lubec for a burglary complaint. Caller reporting they own a vacant residence in Lubec and some items have been stolen. Deputy Parker is investigating the complaint.

Deputy Sergeant Tim Tabbutt and Deputy Ralph Pineo responded to the VFW in Harrington to remove a subject. The VFW called reporting two male subjects had gotten into a fight and one of the males has left. The caller reported the other male subject is very intoxicated and will not leave the VFW. Deputies arrived and subjects left with no report of assault.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Port Road in Machiasport for a wire down. Caller reporting there is a wire hanging in the road coming from a residence. Deputy Parker responded and the wire was clearly marked with a ribbon. Utility Company was notified.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Big Ridge Road in Addison for a report of a drunk driver. Caller reporting a male subject who he knows is in his driveway under the influence of intoxicating liquor and will be driving off soon. Deputy Sergeant Perry did not locate the vehicle.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry and Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Rim Road in Machiasport for a car deer crash. The owner of the vehicle involved in the crash took the deer.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Marion Station Road in Marion for a check well being complaint. The caller reported had not heard from a friend in three days and can not make contact by phone. Caller reported phone would just ring and ring. Caller reported it was unlike the subject. Deputy Parker located the subejct who was all set.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Tibbetts Town Road in Columbia Falls for a ATV complaint. Caller reporting ATV's riding up and down the Tibbetts Town Road side by side all day. Deputy Sergeant Perry located the subjects and the case is under investigation.

Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Ayers Junction Road in Charlotte. Caller reporting a vehicle is down a dead end road and should have no reason to be there. The caller concerned the vehicle might be up to illegal activity. Deputy Parker located the vehicle and no charges.

Deputy Sergeant Randy Perry responded to Smithville Road in Steuben for a two vehicle property damage crash. Subject backed out of driveway into traffic causing crash.

Deputy Sergeant Richard Rolfe and Deputy Brandon Parker responded to Dixie Road in Lubec for a burglary. Caller reporting they own a residence on the Dixie Road and a neighbor just watched two subjects break in and steal a TV and other stuff. Deputies responded and arrested the subjects.
