During this time the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 calls for service. Notable complaints include the following:
Sgt Ralph Pineo responded to a report of suspicious activity in East Machias. The caller reported several intruders around her property. Upon further investigation it was determined that several individuals were looking for access to the lake to ice fish. No charges were filed.
Deputy Christopher Donahue assisted the Maine State Police with the death of an infant in Danforth. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Dennis Worcester assisted with a medical emergency in Addison. The individual was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Deputy Christopher Donahue executed an arrest warrant in Princeton. The subject had an outstanding warrant from Washington County Superior Court. Indian Township Police Department assisted with the arrest.
Deputy Dennis Worcester assisted Officer James Malloy of the Milbridge Police Department with a disorderly female in Milbridge.
Deputy Dennis Worcester and Lt Timothy Tabbutt investigated a motor vehicle accident in Lubec. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. The occupants of the motor vehicle were transported to DECH. No charges at this time.
Sgt Brandon Parker investigated an animal cruelty case in Lubec. A dog was found with an arrow in his neck. Machias Police Department assisted with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
Sgt Brandon Parker investigated a criminal mischief report in East Machias. An individual had threatened a neighbor with a BB gun. No charges at this time.
Lt Travis Willey responded to a domestic disturbance in Columbia. A female reported that her husband had assaulted her. Investigation continues.
Deputy Dennis Worcester assisted a homeowner with removing a subject that was refusing to leave his home in Harrington. At Deputy Worcester’s request the subject left the residence.
