Weekly Report for April 4, 2014 – April 17, 2014
During this time the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 177 calls for service. Twenty-two of those calls were 911 hang ups. Notable complaints include the following:
Deputy Gregory Sawyer responded to a fight in Lubec. 3 individuals were assaulting a male subject. The victim did not want to press charges. No charges at this time.
Deputy Dennis Worcester conducted a bail check in Marshfield. The subject was in compliance with the bail conditions.
Sgt Brandon Parker responded to a domestic disturbance in Beals. A female reported that her fiancé had assaulted her. The female was transported to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
Lt Timothy Tabbutt investigated a theft of an ATV in Cherryfield. The ATV was located and returned to the owner.
Lt Travis Willey conducted a bail check in East Machias. The subject was not in compliance with his bail conditions and was arrested for violation of bail.
Sgt Brandon Parker investigated a criminal mischief report in Cutler. The caller returned home and discovered windows had been smashed in his car and the tires were slashed. The investigation is ongoing.
Sgt Ralph Pineo investigated a Reckless Conduct complaint in Whiting. A male subject allegedly pointed a gun at another person during an argument. No charges at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Sgt Ralph Pineo responded to a report of domestic assault in Machiasport. A male subject reported that his girlfriend had assaulted him. No charges at this time.
Sgt Ralph Pineo assisted Chief Robert Fitzsimmons from Baileyville Police Dept. with a traffic stop. There were outstanding warrants on two subjects in the vehicle. The subjects were arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Lt Timothy Tabbutt conducted a bail check in Jonesport. The subject was in compliance with the bail conditions.
Lt Timothy Tabbutt investigated a report of theft in Cherryfield. The caller reported that he was missing his vehicle and some personal items. No charges at this time.
Lt Timothy Tabbutt assisted Ellsworth Police Department with serving a summons on an individual in Jonesport.
Lt Timothy Tabbutt investigated a burglary in Steuben. A business reported that a window had been broken and several items were missing. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Dennis Worcester arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant for unpaid fines in Columbia.
Sgt Ralph Pineo assisted Machias Police Department with a domestic situation.
Sgt Ralph Pineo responded to a report of Criminal Threatening in Perry. An individual was making threats towards family members. The individual was arrested for criminal threatening and violation of conditions of release.
Deputy Christopher Donahue investigated a burglary in Charlotte. The caller reported items missing from her home and a basement window was broken when she returned. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Gregory Sawyer responded to a loud noise complaint in Marshfield. Warnings were issued.
Lt Timothy Tabbutt arrested a subject for violation of bail conditions in Cherryfield.

Weekly Report for March 28 – April 3, 2014
During this time the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 60 calls for service and 11 motor vehicle accident calls. Notable complaints include the following:
Lt Travis Willey investigated an alleged assault in Harrington. A female reported that her ex-boyfriend broke into her home and attacked her. Lt Willey conducted interviews. The investigation is on-going.
Deputy Gregory Sawyer investigated gun shots being fired near a neighbor’s residence in Brookton. The neighbor was shooting red squirrels. Deputy Sawyer warned him to keep his shots away from the direction of his neighbors.
Deputy Christopher Donahue assisted with a medical emergency in Princeton.
Sgt Brandon Parker responded to a motor vehicle accident in Columbia Falls. The driver sustained minor injuries. The driver was issued a summons for Operating after suspension.
Deputy Gregory Sawyer investigated a theft in Princeton. Investigation is on-going.
Sgt Ralph Pineo and Deputy Christopher Donahue responded to an on- going burglary and assault in Edmunds Township. A male subject had entered a residence and was assaulting 2 individuals. The male subject was arrested and charged with assault, criminal mischief and possession of marijuana. Pleasant Point Police Officer Larry Hilderbrand assisted at the scene.
Deputy Dennis Worcester conducted a well being check on a 16 year old that had run away from home. The juvenile was located at a friend’s house.
Lt Timothy Tabbutt investigated a criminal threatening in Milbridge. After interviewing all the parties a warning was issued. The victim did not want to press charges.
Sgt Ralph Pineo and Deputy Dennis Worcester investigated a report of criminal mischief in Whiting. Several residents reported damage to their mailboxes. Investigation continues.

Weekly Report for March 21 - 27, 2014
During this time the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 calls for service. Notable complaints include the following:
Sgt Ralph Pineo responded to a report of suspicious activity in East Machias. The caller reported several intruders around her property. Upon further investigation it was determined that several individuals were looking for access to the lake to ice fish. No charges were filed.
Deputy Christopher Donahue assisted the Maine State Police with the death of an infant in Danforth. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Dennis Worcester assisted with a medical emergency in Addison. The individual was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Deputy Christopher Donahue executed an arrest warrant in Princeton. The subject had an outstanding warrant from Washington County Superior Court. Indian Township Police Department assisted with the arrest.
Deputy Dennis Worcester assisted Officer James Malloy of the Milbridge Police Department with a disorderly female in Milbridge.
Deputy Dennis Worcester and Lt Timothy Tabbutt investigated a motor vehicle accident in Lubec. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. The occupants of the motor vehicle were transported to DECH. No charges at this time.
Sgt Brandon Parker investigated an animal cruelty case in Lubec. A dog was found with an arrow in his neck. Machias Police Department assisted with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
